Dress and scarf. What would a fish look like if it evolved in an ocean polluted by textile waste?

Fashion Sketches

Circus Chic
Silver Reed SK280 knitting machine, cotton, metallic threads, balloons
This collection began after sketching and collaging about my experiences working children’s birthday parties, and how childhood memories shift in meaning as we grow older. I created a series of knit swatches that culminated in a fully fashioned knit leotard and knit balloon accessories.

Animalia
Dobby Loom, STOLL machine
A series of knit and woven swatches that draw from natural phenomena in the animal kingdom, thinking about the senses and experiences that humans cannot feel being translated into textiles.

Cuttlefish Dress
15-needle Tajima embroidery machine, hand-painted organza.
My watercolor painting of a cuttlefish translated into a digitally embroidered painting, texturally mimicking how their color-changing abilities are controlled by neurons firing in their brain.
Then, I designed a spine structure that is completely embroidered using water-dissolving backing, holding up the tentacles of the dress.

Summer 2025 Capsule Collection Proposal
In collaboration with Aditi Ganti, Leah Patel, Kara Vasquez
A capsule collection proposal called “Inspiring Others By Sharing Stories”, dedicated to reviving Nancy Talbots’ classic style, while celebrating the women who work behind the scenes to shape Talbots’ identity. A percentage of the profits made from the collection would go towards the Talbots Charitable Foundation Scholarship, which would support a diverse group of underprivileged women starting their careers at a wide range of ages.
These are a few pages from the full catalog, which feature women employees in the Talbots NYC office modeling our original prints and designs.
